The Utah State Employees’ Charitable Fund (USECF) was organized by Governor J. Bracken Lee in 1955. It has enjoyed the endorsement and support of succeeding governors, elected state officials, and department executives.

Under the authority of the Governor, USECF offers employees a one-stop point to give money to local, national, and international non-profit agencies that provide critical services to the needy. By participating in the annual Lend A Helping Hand campaign, employees demonstrate their spirit of cooperation and involvement in community affairs.

Initially, only state employees in Davis, Salt Lake, and Tooele counties were able to participate. However, in 1986, the program was expanded statewide.
